The Pitfalls of Gambling.

I was at a casino recently because some friends wanted to meet there. I observed some of the people playing the slot machines and video poker. They seemed to be thoroughly out-of-it when it came to paying attention to anything but what was in front of them. You could say hi to some of them and they wouldn't flinch or even know you were next to them. It is sad to see so many people in this daze that is gambling. Its not healthy to sit by yourself and play video poker until early hours of the morning, never looking up from the screen. I hope that God can guide some of these people to realize what they are missing around them, to take away their temptation of money. As a Christian I think a great ministry would be to talk to some of these people about Christ, to try and bring Him into their life. Unfortunately large greedy casinos will not let that happen. Please keep these people in your prayers.
